Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly has signed on to play the lead in the new CW series, Body Politic. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kelly will play Hope, an "all-American girl" who moves from Michigan to Washington, DC after the death of her mother. In DC, she is reunited with her father, a senator (played by Tim Matheson), and takes a job on his staff.
